Three Things You Don’t Need on the Financial Journey in 2025

Here’s what you DON’T need on the financial journey in 2025
- A new budgeting app
- Another lecture from your spouse on “being better with money”
- Someone telling you to work harder
Here’s what you DO need:
Someone who can show you why things aren’t working and help you fix it fast.
Let me tell you about my client, V.
She made great money, but:
She was overdrafting her bank account almost every day.
She let bills go unpaid until they went to collections.
She felt like money was just too hard to handle.
Most people would say, “Just stick to a budget.”
But when she tried?
It made things WORSE.
Why? Because the budget wasn’t the problem.
As her coach, I KNEW there was something deeper.
Then, one day, she told me a story about her parents.
They believed, “When money comes in, spend it all right away—because you never know if more is coming.”
I asked “Do you trust your paycheck to show up every other Friday?”
Her IMMEDIATE answer: “No.”
We got to work on cleaning up that belief.
Replaced it with trust that her paycheck would come.
What happened?
* No more overdraft fees.
* Bills got paid on time.
* Extra money to pay off debt.
Now a budget worked —because the real issue was solved.
This is what happens when you fix the real problem behind your money struggles.
