No Such Thing as Failure
In martial arts, you learn there is no such thing as failure.
For sure, you “fail” to do things correctly – all the time. But it’s failure with a “small F” – a short- term condition. At least it should be short term, because your goal with every shortcoming is to learn from it and do better next time.
So failure is really a means to a success!
It’s really the only attitude to take. Why? Because the fact of the matter is that we do things “wrong” many more times than we do them the “right” way. It could take 10 or 100 or 1000 wrong attempts, before you finally get it right.
Isn’t the same thing true in business and finance?
How many attempts do you have to make to finally get the appointment with the prospect? Or to you get the sale? Or to make decent money? Or to find the right investment?
But if people consider failure to be a permanent state – or worse, consider themselves a failure – they will have stopped learning and stopped striving.
Then they will make failure a reality, instead of success.
Think about it: you have a choice!
